What time do events end?

All events end at midnight. We highly recommend round-trip shuttle buses to take guests home or to a local hotel safely after the party.

What time can we hold our ceremony?

Wedding ceremonies generally start at 4:00pm or 4:30pm.

Can we use real candles as part of our decor?

We want to keep the barn safe and preserve our history and culture for generations to come. Please be mindful that any open flames including candles and cigarettes are not allowed in and around the barn.

What happens if it rains on the day of our wedding?

Century Barn is the place to go if you want your wedding day to be perfect no matter what Mother Nature has in store. Use the barn as an alternate ceremony space complete with an arbor, draperies, and lights. Whether a drizzle or a downpour, there is no reason your day should be anything less than spectacular!

How does the DIY bar work?

Our Do-It-Yourself Bar is the perfect way to save money and be in charge of what you serve at your event. You can mix up cocktails that are sure to make everyone happy, without breaking the bank! The DIY bar requires that you hire our exclusive bartending team to manage your bar and ensure your guests are served responsibly and safely. You will also obtain a Special Occasions Permit (SOP) from the LCBO and Party Alcohol Liability (PAL) Insurance. We have a handy DIY Bar Guide to help you along the way, and we are always available to answer questions and provide support.

If we curate our event ourselves, how do we source vendors?

We have a list of preferred vendors for clients who book the venue-only option. If you’d like to use someone else, a site visit and meeting should be arranged prior to booking that vendor, to ensure they understand what spaces and supplies are available at our venue.

Can we hold a rehearsal?

All wedding couples have access to designated rehearsal time on Thursday night before events at no additional charge. This is a great opportunity for you to get together with your vendors in order to make sure everything goes off without a hitch!

You can also use this time to unload bar supplies and any personal decor items that you’ll need on the big day!

Should we hire a wedding planner or day-of coordinator?

You don’t need a wedding planner, but we ask that you work with our experienced day-of coordinator. They will help you manage the details of your event, answer questions along the way, and facilitate event set-up and pack-up at the end of the night!

How many events do you book per day?

Century Barn will only host one event per day. We offer exclusive use of the property and attention to detail, ensuring that everything goes the way it should!

What is your hold policy and how do we secure our date?

Century Barn is committed to providing an unforgettable event for all of our customers. To ensure that there are no complications, disappointments or surprises, we require a deposit and a signed contract to secure your date.
