Why Include Your Dog in Your Wedding?

For many couples, pets are more than companions — they’re family. Dogs have been with you through milestones, everyday memories, and now, your journey into married life. Including them in your wedding is a beautiful way to honour their place in your story.

Whether your dog walks down the aisle, appears in your wedding portraits, or greets guests with a wagging tail, their presence adds a personal, heartfelt touch to the celebration.

A Few Tips for a Paw-sitive Experience:

By planning ahead and considering your dog’s needs, you’ll help ensure the day is enjoyable for everyone — paws and all. Here are a few tips to help make the experience positive for everyone 🐾:

  • Bring a trusted handler
Assign a friend, family member, or pet-sitter to care for your dog throughout their time at the venue. This allows you to focus on enjoying the day, knowing someone you trust has your pup covered and taken care of.
  • Keep your dog leashed and supervised at all times
Even the most well-behaved dogs can get excited in a new environment. For everyone’s comfort and safety, we advise that your furry friends remain leashed and supervised.
  • Pack the essentials
Bring everything your dog might need: a leash, water bowl, poop bags, and a few treats or familiar items to help them feel at ease. And don’t forget to clean up after them to keep the grounds lovely for all our guests.
  • Know your dog’s behavior and limits
Some dogs thrive in crowds, while others may feel overwhelmed by loud music, lots of people, or unfamiliar surroundings. We ask our couples to have their dog taken home after the ceremony and portraits — this way, your pup can be part of the magic without the stress of a full-day event.
