Vai and Daniel’s celebration honoured both Indian and Irish heritage, blending colourful rituals, family traditions, and emotional moments into one unforgettable day. Set at a countryside venue with open skies and rustic charm, their wedding offered the perfect setting for a meaningful and culturally rich ceremony.
Traveling from Toronto, the couple chose Century Barn Weddings to blend their cultural traditions with the rustic charm of Ontario’s countryside. It was the perfect backdrop for a meaningful, modern celebration just outside the GTA.

Surrounded by 114 of their closest friends and family who traveled from India, Ireland, and across Ontario, Vai and Daniel exchanged vows in a stunning ceremony rich with cultural significance. “This is my happy place,” Vai shares with a smile, recalling how the beauty of the venue perfectly complemented the couple’s love story.
The ceremony itself was a dream come true, with soft pink, white, and orange florals, designed by Pooja Pathare from The Forever Project, adding vibrant life to the venue. These lush florals, paired with elegant drapery, created an atmosphere of romance and serenity, while the colors symbolized the joy of new beginnings. Vai, radiant in a traditional saree that was a stunning blend of rich hues, stood at the altar alongside Daniel, dashing in his tailored sherwani. Surrounded by family — some having flown in from across the world — Vai and Daniel exchanged heartfelt vows, led by officiant Abhay Sharma, marking the beginning of their new life together.
The ceremony embraced the beauty of Hindu wedding traditions, honouring Vai’s Indian heritage through meaningful rituals, vibrant details, and family blessings. Every moment reflected the cultural richness of their love story, blending time – honoured customs with personal touches. As Vai and Daniel exchanged vows, their wedding became more than a celebration — it was a symbolic joining of two families, two cultures, and a shared future rooted in connection, respect, and joy.

The custom cocktails were a hit, reflecting the couple’s personalities and adding a touch of fun to the evening. Inside the barn, the venue was transformed into a cozy and welcoming space. With soft lighting, floral arrangements, and drapery, the setting felt both intimate and magical — an elegant celebration of love and family.
A local restaurant and caterer, Imperial Tandoori, catered the evening, delighting guests with a spread of traditional Indian dishes that highlighted the couple’s roots. Hard Winter Bakery’s wedding cake, an elegant creation that perfectly matched the day’s decor, was the sweet finale to an unforgettable meal. The music, provided by DJ Lynz, kept the energy high throughout the night, filling the air with joy and excitement as guests from all corners of the world danced the night away with their closest family and friends, creating memories that will last forever.
